A safekeeping deposit in which one party entrusts assets to another for protection; the basis of Islamic current-account deposits.

The 'unity of being' — a contemplative doctrine linked with Ibn Arabi holding that all existence manifests the one Divine reality. Debated among scholars.

A term used, often by outsiders, for the reform movement associated with Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab in 18th-century Arabia; adherents usually prefer other labels.
