Adam
Ādam
The first human and first prophet, created by Allah from clay. Father of mankind, taught the names of all things, and the first to be honored by the angels' prostration.

Abraham, one of the five greatest prophets and "Khalilullah" (Friend of Allah). Father of Ismail and Ishaq, he built the Kaaba and is the patriarch of monotheism.

Jesus, one of the five greatest prophets, born miraculously of the virgin Maryam. Given the Injil (Gospel), he performed miracles by Allah's leave and will return before the End of Times.

David, a prophet and king given the Zabur (Psalms). Famed for defeating Goliath, a beautiful voice in praising Allah, and the miracle of iron softening in his hands.

Aaron, the brother of Musa, appointed by Allah as his helper and spokesman. An eloquent prophet who supported Musa in confronting Pharaoh and guiding the Israelites.
Ishaq

Isaac, the younger son of Ibrahim and Sarah, given as glad tidings in their old age. A prophet and father of Yaqub; through his line came many prophets of Israel.
Ismail
Ismāʿīl
Ishmael, the elder son of Ibrahim and Hajar. He helped build the Kaaba and was the one offered in the great trial of sacrifice. Ancestor of the Arabs and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Yahya

John the Baptist, son of Zakariya, a prophet given wisdom in childhood. Described in the Quran as devout, pure, and dutiful to his parents; he confirmed Isa's prophethood.

Jacob, also called Israel, son of Ishaq and father of the twelve tribes. A patient prophet, father of Yusuf, whose grief at his son's loss is famously recounted in the Quran.
Yunus

Jonah, sent to the people of Nineveh. After leaving in frustration, he was swallowed by a great fish; he glorified Allah in its belly and was saved. A surah bears his name.

Zechariah, an elderly prophet who guarded Maryam and prayed for a child despite his age. Allah granted him Yahya (John) as a miraculous answer to his supplication.

An Arabian prophet sent to Thamud, who carved homes in mountains. Allah gave them a miraculous she-camel as a sign; when they killed it, they were destroyed.

A prophet sent to the people of Madyan, who cheated in trade and measures. He called them to honesty and monotheism; when they refused, they were destroyed.
